Tree removal, safely – even in tight spaces

Between house, garage and the neighbours’ fence, a tree rarely comes down in one piece. We dismantle it in a controlled way – section by section, lowered on ropes or lifted by crane – and leave your garden clean.

What a removal includes

We handle everything from assessment to haul-away – you only need one contact.

  • Rope-access removal

    For trees without vehicle access: we climb the crown and lower branches and trunk sections on ropes.

  • Crane & aerial platform

    Large trees over roofs or power lines are lifted out in sections by crane.

  • Directional felling

    Where there is enough space, we fell the tree in a precisely planned direction.

  • Stump grinding

    The stump is ground below ground level – ready for lawn, beds or paving.

  • Haul-away

    We remove wood and cuttings for recycling. Firewood stays with you on request.

  • Felling permit

    We check whether your tree is protected and help you apply to the city or municipality.

Planned before the saw starts

Every removal starts with a site visit. We look at species, condition, lean and surroundings, then decide on the safest method.

On the day we set up an exclusion zone, protect lawns and paving with boards and coordinate with your neighbours if their property is affected.

  • Removals only in felling season (1 October – end of February), unless there is danger
  • Check for nesting birds and bat roosts before every job
  • A fixed crew that knows your site
Do I need a permit?

In the City of Munich, trees with a trunk girth of 80 cm or more (measured at 1 m) are generally protected by the tree protection bylaw. Surrounding municipalities may have their own rules. We will tell you during the site visit what applies to your tree. Read more in our resources.

    On site we agree on method, equipment and permits. You then receive a written quote.

  3. Removal & clean-up

    We remove the tree on the agreed date, grind the stump if you wish and leave the area swept clean.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a tree removal cost?

It depends on height, trunk diameter, access and the equipment required. A free-standing fruit tree is quick; a 25-metre spruce between two houses needs a crane or rope work. After the site visit you receive a binding written quote.

Can I have a tree removed in summer?

Between 1 March and 30 September, removals are generally prohibited under § 39 BNatSchG. Exceptions apply to acute hazards, such as after a storm, or with special permission. Gentle pruning is possible all year.

Do I need to be at home during the removal?

No. We just need access to the property and somewhere nearby to park. When we are done, we send you photos of the finished site.
